Our History
Armed with a very small mailing list, Eagle Bio-Fuels solicited business and did some newspaper advertisements. "Eagle has always valued our customer's suggestions. It has lead our company in the right quality and product directions," according to Sue Kruger. Eagle's customer asked for wood pellets mixed with corn. Eagle now offers many corn/pellet blends for all types of alternative fuel stoves and furnaces. In 2007, Eagle Bio-Fuels decided to add a complete line of alternative fuels and accessories. Eagle began distributing wood and biomass pellets for other manufacturers. Eagle became the Midwest distributor of Imperial Stove Maintenance products. Delivery service was expanded to add bulk delivery. After suffering the woes of the 2008 pellet shortage and quality inconsistency, the Kruger’s have invested in large quantities of wood pellets from reliable quality wood pellets plants in the United States. Now Eagle Bio-Fuels provides customers with a reliable supply of wood pellets under Eagle's label with Pellet Fuel Institute certification and Eagle guarantee. Over the past years, Eagle Bio-Fuel's business has expanded to be more wholesale than retail. Eagle Bio-Fuels products can be found in hearth, farm supply and hardware stores across the Midwest. Eagle Bio-Fuels has it own transport division to assure the quality of the product from the farm to the store.
Our TeamTom Kruger comes from a long line of farmers with a strong engineering background. Tom provides Eagle Bio-Fuels with corn products and oversees the production and delivery side of the business. Sue Kruger, city girl gone country, has a college education in marketing and years of experience in accounting. Sue handles the finance and marketing departments at Eagle Bio-Fuels. Sue travels throughout the United States setting up Eagle Bio-Fuels dealers and attending trade shows and speaks at heat seminars. Their sons, Mitchell and Matthew, have handled a great portion of the 40 pound bags. With the help of other high school students, the boys bag, stack and house the product. Very courteously, they wait on retail customers after school and on Saturdays. In the office, LeeAnn Hein manages the telephone and e-mails. Besides being very kind and accommodating to the customers and vendors, LeeAnn keeps all the financials in order and the employees paid. Tom & LeeAnn coordinate all your freight needs. Eagle is very proud to have Denise Foley as a sales representative. Denise has prior sales experience with industrial tool and equipment companies. Headquartered out of Hackensack, Minnesota, Denise is excellent at evaluating and accommodating Eagle customers’ needs. Eagle Bio-Fuels and Kruger Family Farms employ a shop mechanic, plant and warehouse supervisor, CDL semi drivers and hard working equipment operators. They are blessed with years of experience, a good sense of humor and understanding families. |
